Seattle Department of Transportation to host Mobility Innovations Speaker Series
First event is November 14 at 6 p.m.
SEATTLE – The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) announces that it is launching this year’s speaker series on mobility innovations. This series begins this month and will run through mid-2017. Topics will include: mobility hubs, smart mobility strategies for high growth, preparing autonomous vehicles, and making shared transportation equitable.
Mobility hubs can feature a wide range of transportation choices, amenities, and technologies including: bikeshare, carshare, neighborhood electric vehicles, bike parking and real-time traveler information
The first event is Monday, November 14, focusing on the topic of mobility hubs. The City of Seattle is partnering with transit agencies and private mobility services to develop a network of shared mobility hubs throughout the city, providing better mobility and integrated transportation choices for all. Learn about this effort, similar efforts throughout North America, and how mobility hubs can transform the travel experience in the future.
